On the evening of Thursday, February 4th, 2016, renowned international luxury furniture brand, Roche Bobois, revealed their brand new Paramus, NJ showroom in collaboration with HudsonMOD.
Over 200 guests, including the region's most notable interior designers, joined together to celebrate Roche Bobois’ highly anticipated return to New Jersey. Eventgoers enjoyed delectable passed hors d’oeuvres from Culinary Creations, signature cocktails crafted by Figenza, and wine presented by Sommelier Maria Scillieri. The String Angels also entertained guests throughout the evening with their electric violin performance. In front of the showroom, guests were greeted by vehicles from Maserati of Bergen County and Jack Daniels Porsche. Amber Milt, HudsonMOD Lifestyle Editor, hosted the red carpet where some of New Jersey’s most affluent designers talked excitedly about the occasion.
As event goers talked all things design, they also enjoyed live demonstrations of the making of Roche Bobois’ iconic Mah Jong sofa. The talented Massimo Cimatti, who traveled from Italy just for the occasion, masterfully handstitched the upholstered cushions. Guests had the chance to try their own hand at sewing buttons onto the Missoni Home fabric-covered cushions - an exclusive discovery of the Roche Bobois unique production process. After an introduction from Design Editor, Vanessa Deleon, Roche Bobois’ North East General Manager, Pierre Berardo, addressed the showroom full of guests and thanked them for their immense support. Afterwards, Berardo and Mayor LaBarbiera officially commenced the opening with a formal ribbon cutting. With the opening of new showrooms in Aventura, FL and Pasadena, CA in 2015, Roche Bobois continues its U.S. development into the new year.
The Paramus opening marks the first new U.S. showroom location for Roche Bobois in 2016, with plans to introduce additional locations in the upcoming months. Pierre Berardo, General Manager for the U.S. Northeast, attributes Roche Bobois’ rapid growth in the U.S. to its “core company values, such as exceptional quality, design and craftsmanship, all while maintaining a high level of customer service.” Berardo continues, “maintaining these core values has enabled us to open our doors to more consumers in cities around the country and world.” Roche Bobois currently has over 250 showrooms in almost 50 countries worldwide, of which 8 are located in the U.S. including even more openings this year. The brand continues to grow with an average of one new showroom opening every month.
With Roche Bobois continuing to spread its distinctive French aesthetic around the globe, the brand’s international presence has never been stronger. Thanks to a long-established network of European manufacturers and fruitful relationships with renowned designers (such as Cedric Ragot, Ora Ito, Sacha Lakic, Christophe Delcourt, and Stephen Burks) as well as the global fashion houses (Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel Home, Missoni Home), the brand has risen to the challenges of achieving an international presence and remains at the forefront of its industry offering each individual client a personalized approach to interior design.
