From his studio in the old city of Jaffa, Itay Noy, a contemporary Israeli artist and independent timepiece-maker, creates unique, high-end watches and clocks. Noy's watches are limited edition, numbered and characterized by innovative designs, suggesting philosophical perspectives on the concept of time.
He gives the units of time a unique interpretation, demanding more thoughtful observation in order to read the time, and establishing an intimate relationship between the timepiece and the observer, beyond the item’s functional aspects. The combination of masterful design and exceptional craftsmanship transform his creations from timekeeping devices to inspirational and thought-provoking works of art. With annual production of approximately 150 watches a year, Itay Noy personally assembles each watch, a total process encompassing concept, design, engineering, handcraft and micro-technology. He modifies top quality Swiss movements and creates his own modules in order to develop original complications.
